Prerequisite: 1 private lesson for assessment and to learn the foundations of our Feisty Fido program. Students MUST be dedicated to treating and working with their dogs, practicing between classes is crucial to success for your dog.

Please note: There will be no Fiesty Fido group classes until September 2012. We are happy to work privately with your dog until then!

This class is for the treatment and management of dog-dog or human-dog reactive dogs. It is a very small, specialized class, with no more than 5 dogs. This is a wonderful class where everyone is there for the same reason and understands what it’s like to have a reactive dog.

We work on building confidence, management, and most importantly, changing the response of your dog when he or she is around another dog or person. Classes are 1.5 hours long and are done in a spacious location with the ability to split dogs up in various areas indoors and outdoors.

Cost: $169.99 plus HST for 6 classes (not including private lesson before classes)

In-House Dog Day Training

Let Pawsitively Canine help you!!  We offer in private home day training.  A program customized to your dog’s and family’s needs.  We save you time and frustration! We work with your dog in the same way we approach all of our training programs; with positive, force-free, reward based methods that work!

Day training is designed for busy pet owners.  We train your dog for you, in your home, while you’re at work.  You will be amazed at your dog’s improvement!  Day training can teach the specific behaviors that are important to you.  As your dog progress, we coach you to help maintain the new behaviors.

The benefits of day training are many! We can teach in several sessions, what it might take months to learn in group classes.  It takes the pressure off of you!  Your dog benefits by learning from a skilled and experienced dog trainer.

Day training programs offer unlimited email support (during and within 6 months of completion of your program), a follow up visit 3 months after program completion to ensure long term success, and detailed handouts.  We tailor the program to suit your needs.

What to expect

We have an initial interview to discuss the skills you are looking to have taught and design a plan for you.  We will come to your home 2-3 times per week.   We then meet with you once a week for 30 minutes to discuss what your dog has learned and help teach you how to reinforce the new behaviors and skills.  Then, when the program is finished, we meet with you in 3 months to answer questions and help continue with your success.

As with all our training, we do not use any choke chains, pinch/prong collars, shock collars, or other aversive training techniques.  Our methods are based on positive reinforcement and help enhance the bond between you and your dog.  We make training FUN for you and your dog!!

Cost

Costs vary depending on the skills being taught and your location.  But you can expect approximately $175 a week.
