WHAT PEOPLE SAY

Two Dogs

Janele C.

After my dog was bitten and became reactive, Lisa's growly hounds class was a game changer. Her calm, personalized approach gave us the tools to handle even the worst-case scenario—our dog walked away calmly from an aggressive off-leash dog. Lisa is truly the best.

Puppy in Red Cushion

Nancy H.

We took puppy classes with Lisa. Such a fun and inviting class. Our puppy loved it and so did we. I also had some one on one classes for our older dog and the things we learned from Lisa solved our problems. She is so knowledgeable and friendly. I highly recommend.

I’ve been taking my puppy to train (and play!) with Lisa and Elizabeth since he was 10 weeks old. He’s had the opportunity to socialize in a safe environment, and I’m learning a lot about how to communicate with my dog to help him learn with positive force free methods- and we have a lot of fun doing it! I highly recommend Pawsitively Canine:)

“AnimalKind trainer Lisa Davies from Pawsitively Canine suggested teaching the ‘drop it’ cue. Using high value treats (chicken) and our clicker we started by saying ‘drop it’, clicking then treating  – when he didn’t have anything in his mouth. Now he associates the cue ‘drop it’ with chicken and no longer fears us bending over or hands approaching his toys or food. He has stopped resource guarding.

Walks with Sam are no longer a nightmare! As soon as Sam would see a dog we would click and toss a treat in opposite direction while leading him away, clicking and treating non-stop  until dog was out of sight. Now when he spots a dog he turns and looks at us waiting for his treat, rather than reacting and pulling.”
